The Chef’s Apron was inspired by Jackie's time at pastry school in Paris, where crisp waist aprons were a part of the traditional uniform worn over chef whites. The design is meant to be practical, covering over the knees and easy to put on and take off to greet dining guests. For the home, The Chef’s Apron is elegant for entertaining as it doesn’t obscure an outfit...and it seemed, from photos, to be the preference for Julia Child, who always knew best.
The Chef's Apron has coloured stitching detail around the pocket, which can hold tools like cooking thermometers (and phones). The button hole detail can be used to thread in the ties of the Oversized Dish Towel, securing it for cooking.
